Urgent Campaigning
Email your MP before this Friday’s Budget. It’s easy to do using this link and your email could make a difference.
With energy bills skyrocketing, long-term pub closures doubling and consumers’ disposable income in free fall, pubs across the UK are facing extinction. There has never been a more important time to make our voices heard as consumers. Please take a few minutes to email your MP and ask them to make the scale of this crisis clear to the Government.
CAMRA are asking the new Government to:
- Introduce an energy bill price cap for hospitality businesses.
- Implement the Alcohol Duty Review reforms as quickly as possible, with the new draught duty rate applying to containers of 20L and above.
- Cut VAT for on trade food and alcohol.
- Reform the business rates system in England, with funding for governments in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, to remove the unfair burden on pubs throughout the whole of the UK.
