Our first face-to-face social event since the lifting of lockdown restrictions will be this Saturday 21st August. Meet at Great Ale at the Vaults at 12 noon for a trip around some of our town centre pubs – The Greyhound, One for the Road, Northern Monkey Bar and Old Three Crowns. All welcome.
The next Branch Meeting will also be the first face-to-face meeting since lockdown. It will be held Thursday 2nd September 8pm, at the Millstone on Crown St in Bolton Town Centre (behind the Elephant and Castle)
This is notice that the Branch Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 7th October 8pm at Northern Monkey Tap on Chorley Street Industrial Estate (not the Northern Monkey Bar on Nelson Square!).
Branch Officers will be up for re-election. If you have an interest in volunteering to take on a Branch position, you can find role descriptions on the CAMRA website, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
It’s awards season!
Our pubs have done rather well over the last few weeks. There are plenty of presentations coming up. All welcome to come along.
Thursday 26th August at 7pm – The Bridge Hotel in Horwich was recently announced as the winner in the Community Local category of CAMRA’s Pub Design Awards. There will be a virtual national event taking place with all the winners. Come down to the pub on the night to celebrate.
Thursday 9th September from 7.30pm – Pub of the Year Presentation to Northern Monkey Bar, Nelson Square
Wednesday 6th October from 7.30pm – Cider Pub of the Year Presentation to The Beer School, Market St, Westhoughton. This will mark CAMRA Cider Month during October!
If you can’t make the dates, try to support these and some of our other great pubs and clubs by paying them a visit if you can. Help us by letting us know what real ales are on the pumps. You can do this using whatpub.com or email email@example.com.
