Meet at Bolton station at 10.40 to catch the 10.49 train to travel to Manchester Victoria where we change to catch the 11.17 to Huddersfield arriving at 11.46.

The first port of call will be Head of Steam, St Georges Square, Huddersfield HD1 1JF (10 real ales) which is part of the railway complex. Moving on we can visit the following:

Magic Rock brewery Tap, Willow Bank Business Centre, Willow Lane, HD1 5EB; a short walk out of town, 3 regular and 3 changing ales

The Sportsman, 1 St Johns Road, Huddersfield, HG1 1JF; 6 changing real ales, food available

Corner – Mallinsons Brewery Tap house, 5 Market Walk, Huddersfield, HD1 2QA, 2 regular, 5 changing real ales, food available

Rat and Ratchet, 40 Chapel Grove, Huddersfield, HD1 3EB; 5 regular ales from Ossett and Rat, 8 changing

The Grove, 2 Spring Grove Street, Huddersfield, HD1 4BP; up to 16 changing ales

Ending up at the Kings Head, St Georges Square, Huddersfield, HD1 1JF; 6 real ales, part of the station complex.

Catching the train back to Bolton there is an option to stop off at Stalybridge to sample some ale from the Station Buffet Bar with 9 hand pumps
