CAMRA Bolton Pub Closures 1980 – 2023
This document sets out to list all the Bolton Metro Pubs that have closed since CAMRA Bolton Branch first had a list of them around 1980. Many pubs had closed before date, of course, and these may be covered elsewhere by other sources especially in Bolton Town Centre. The document can be downloaded here
The Round Britain Pub Crawl
The Round Britain Pub Crawl is a record of a week-long train journey to visit pubs listed in the Good Beer Guide in the years 1975 to 1984, plus a few pubs that were not, but were close to the station. Details of the trains, pubs, breweries and their beers with prices paid are listed along with a link to the Pubs WhatPub entry or other internet source. Where the breweries have closed a link is provided to the listing on the Brewery History Website. A daily commentary also includes anecdotes from along the way.
A statistical summary is provided so that comparisons can be made between years e.g. on average prices per pint. It is in Excel format and not really suitable for viewing on a mobile.
