Cider & Perry #NotFromConcentrate

Our Cider & Perry page has been updated.  This provides information on the revised CAMRA definition of real cider and perry and a link to a list of nearly 400 producers across the country.

Many of the most widely available ciders do not meet the definition, often being made from juice concentrate. We have updated the list of pubs in the Branch where we know that real cider and perry is regularly available. We are always interested to get information on new outlets.

Our Cider Pub of the Year will be chosen from The Beer School, The Brewery Bar and Bunburys.  These are pubs where real cider has been available for most of the last year.

We’ve launched our new Campaigning page on the website.

You can learn more about what the Branch is doing to campaign for real ale and real cider and to protect pubs and clubs in the town. There is information on the recent campaigning work on the Alcohol Duty Consultation arising from the recent Budget.

The next social event will be a trip to Egerton and Bromley Cross on Saturday 19th February.  Meet at 1.00pm at the Cross Guns and then on to The Thomas Egerton, Masons Arms, The Flag Inn and Nook & Cranny.
