  • Spinning Mule, the town-centre Wetherspoons, often with a beer from Bolton’s Bank Top brewery amongst an excellent lineup.

  • The Millstone, a backstreet pub in the centre of town, often a quiet oasis on a busy evening, serving Joseph Holt Bitter.
  • Great Ale at the Vaults is a bar you’ll need to hunt out, inside and beneath the Market Place Shopping Centre and cinema complex.  It’s a hidden gem serving a Deeply Vale beer alongside other intriguing guests.
