We will meet at Manchester Piccadilly where there are various options. Direct trains leave at 10:03, 10:25 & 11:03, taking approximately 1 hour 10mins. Prices start at £7.60 for a single, or if you don’t want to be tied to a specific time Off Peak Returns cost £44. We are aiming to be in Wolverhampton for 12:00.

Accommodation prices vary, the Premier Inn Central is currently £108 for the Friday night but the Premier Inn North is much more reasonable at £51.
This one is just under 4 miles outside of Wolverhampton centre, buses go past regularly until late evening, but if there were a few of us staying there then sharing a taxi could also be an option.

The Return trip back to Manchester:

Some of us are staying just the one night and are planning on getting the train back on the Saturday evening. Plenty of times to choose from, 18:19, 18:49, 19:19, 20:19, 21:19.

Others will be staying 2 nights and returning on the Sunday.

The plan is to meet in Wolverhampton at around 12.00 at the Great Western, where food is available. Following food and a couple of beers we have various options.

Below is one suggestion.

Friday
Meet at Great Western, Wolverhampton – Food available.

Travel to Sedgley – approx 4 mile journey.  No 1 bus takes 19 mins from bus station

Visit
Bull’s Head (open all day),
Mount Pleasant (opens at 4.00pm)
Beacon Hotel (opens at 5.30pm)

Travel back to Wolverhampton to check out a couple more pubs.
There are plenty of pubs in the centre of Wolverhampton which are worth checking out.
These are just a couple of suggestions.

Posada (Food available)
Lych Gate Tavern

Saturday
Meet at Wolverhampton bus station.
Travel to Netherton – approx 8 mile journey.  No 81 bus takes about 1 hour.

Visit:
Old Swan, Netherton (does food), followed by 2.2 mile journey to Vine, easiest option would be to share taxis, otherwise it involves catching 2 buses and takes quite a while.
Vine, Brierley Hill, followed by 1.5 mile journey to Dudley – No 6 or No 8 bus.
Lamp Tavern, Dudley

Travel back to Wolverhampton to check out a couple more pubs

This is just a suggestion, if you know of other pubs which you would like to visit we will try and visit those too.

We could also swap the 2 days around, doing the Dudley area pubs on the Friday, and the Sedgley area ones on the Saturday.
