The Flag Inn, Bromley Cross, is now offering card-carrying CAMRA members a discount of 25p per pint on cask ales. The range includes beers from Bank Top, Phoenix, Hopstar, Nook and Moorhouses, amongst others.

The Spread Eagle at Kearsley is closed, and is being advertised as ‘to let’.

The Queen Anne on Junction Road now offers cask ales; recent offerings have been from Robinsons on have included Dizzy Blonde and Old Tom.

A new cask ale outlet has opened in Westhoughton – Provenance. It is a first floor restaurant with a foodhall on the ground floor. There is a small drinking area near the bar upstairs for those that are only thirsty.

The Market Street Tavern is now a Locale accredited pub. In addition to the regular Caledonian and Marston’s offerings there are two changing beers from local breweries.
