Meet at Wigan Central at 1.00pm which has recently been extended into the arch next door. Wigan has many fine pubs and it’s difficult to choose just a few to visit. The list below need not be comprehensive and can be changed on the day if someone has a special pub they would like to take us to.
Moving on to we walk to Doc’s Symposium with the five hand pumps and voted Wigan new cask outlet 2014.
Walking back into town we go to John Bull Chophouse with five changing hand pumps. Moving on to the Moon Under Water, a Weatherspoons with 8 changing hand pumps.
Finally, the last two pubs are close together. The Tap ‘n’ Barrell is the Martland Mill Brewery Tap and opened less than a year ago. It serves beers from Martland Mill plus a good selection of ever changing guests. Next is the Anvil, one of All Gates pubs, serving a good range of beers from All Gates and a good selection of guests. The Anvil also has six continental beers for those among us who like a change occasionally.
Can’t make the start? Well don’t worry but join us on the way round. Call Gill on 07967 585670 to find out where we are.
